While abroad, I took an introductory course in silkscreening with an American expat who has been living and teaching students in Florence for over 20 years. In and attempt to merge my experience abroad with something I loved, my muse for this semester was my home. A Victorian-Italianate house that my parents spent the majority of my childhood renovating, my house is as much of a symbol of resilience and commitment as it is a symbol of family.
